About FFA

Founded in 1928, the Future Farmers of America brought together students, teachers, and agribusiness to solidify support for agricultural education.  From its humble beginnings with just 33 young farmboys, the organization has grown to over 500,000, or over half a million, members scattered throughout the United States in over seven thousand local chapters.  It has gained the prestige of being America's largest and perhaps the most respected and powerful youth organization.

Throughout an ever changing society, the National FFA Organization has remained committed to each and every individual student.  The FFA mission statement offers a good summary of the organization's goals.

"FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education."

Any FFA member would enthusicastically inform you that the National FFA Organization does indeed accomplish these goals.

By the combination of classroom studies, supervised agricultural experience programs, and student organization activities, the FFA prepares its members with the leadership, ingenuity, and determination to meet today's, and tomorrow's agricultural demands.
